Fair rules, kept short.

1. Contracting parties

These terms govern the contract between you (parent or club) and Heroskills · Roman Dinkel (Einzelfirma), Zedernweg 4, 7000 Chur, Schweiz(“Heroskills”).

2. What Heroskills is

Heroskills is an off-season training app for ice-hockey kids aged roughly 8 to 18. The app delivers short (~10 min) skill drills that the child completes on a family device.

Heroskills is not a substitute for structured training with a coach, not medical advice and not a guarantee of athletic success.

3. Account and sign-up

The contract is concluded with the first sign-up of your parent account via the magic-link email. By signing up you declare that you are at least 18 years old and the legal guardian of the child or children created in your account.

You are responsible for the security of your email inbox and do not pass the magic-link emails on to third parties.

4. Beta phase

Heroskills is currently in its beta phase until 16 August 2026. During this time use is free for all accounts. No credit card is required and there is no automatic renewal.

After the beta phase we will introduce a paid model. We will clarify the terms transparently and in advance with our beta users.

Paid subscriptions (after the beta phase) renew automatically for the chosen period. You can cancel at any time at /settings. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Amounts paid are not refunded pro rata, except in the case of a voluntary consumer withdrawal under §5.

5. Voluntary money-back promise

Swiss law does not provide an automatic right of withdrawal for online contracts like this one. We voluntarily grant a 14-day money-back promise from the first booking. An informal email to info@heroskills.app is enough. Gift vouchers already redeemed are excluded from the refund.

6. Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are not cash payments, are not refunded and cannot be redeemed for cash. The validity period is stated on the voucher and at redemption. After redemption the terms of the respective plan apply.

7. Children, responsibility, safety

The training drills are created to the best of our professional knowledge and provided with age- and sport-appropriate safety notes. Supervision and responsibility for safe execution lie entirely with the legal guardians or with the club coach.

Heroskills is not liable for damage resulting from carrying out the drills, subject to mandatory provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations.

8. Usage rules, fair use

You undertake not to use Heroskills in order to:

• carry out brute-force or penetration tests,
• copy content and publish it on your own channels without our written consent,
• load the system with automated requests beyond the normal rate limits,
• spy out account or code data of other users.

In the event of abuse we reserve the right to block your account without warning and to claim damages.

9. Availability

Heroskills is operated as a “best-effort” service — we work towards high availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime. We announce planned maintenance by email; we fix unplanned outages as quickly as possible.

10. Intellectual property

All content (drills, texts, trademarks, designs, code) is protected by copyright and belongs to Roman Dinkel / Heroskills. You merely receive a non-transferable right of use for the duration of your subscription.

11. Data protection

The processing of your data and your child’s data is governed by our privacy policy.

12. Governing law, place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Chur, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer protection provisions specify a different court.

13. Severability

Should a provision of these terms be invalid, the rest remains valid. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to the economic purpose.

14. Changes

We may change these terms. We communicate material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not object to the changes within 30 days, they are deemed accepted. With an active subscription you have an extraordinary right of cancellation as of the date the change takes effect if you object.
