Stickhandling
Heroskills is the stickhandling app for ice-hockey kids aged 8 to 16: 27 drills with pictures and instructions, for 3×3 m of floor, a stick and a softball.
In short
Stickhandling means moving the puck – at home a softball – with the stick: tight, fast and with your head up. It is the base for dribbling, deking, passing and shooting.
A stickhandling app gives your kid ready-made drills every day: which drill, how long, what to watch for. Heroskills mixes them fresh every day, adapts them to three age levels (8–10, 11–13, 14–16) and keeps count.
It does not replace ice time with the club. It fills the days in between: 10 minutes a day add up to more than 60 hours of extra skill training a year.

The drills
A selection of 27 drills. Tap one to see it the way your kid sees it in the app.
Technique
Feel the ball, don’t watch it. Kids who look up see teammates and gaps in a game.
Small, quick moves with soft hands keep the ball under control.
Do every drill slowly and cleanly first. Speed comes with repetition.
Practice at home
Yes. With a hockey stick and a softball on 3×3 m of floor, no ice needed. The softball is easy on floors and walls.
To start: tight figure eight, wide figure eight and half-circle dribble. Then toe drag, short-short-long and slaloms forwards and backwards. For advanced kids: between the legs, stick juggling and the stick marathon.
For kids aged 8 to 16. Every drill has three levels (8–10, 11–13, 14–16) with their own target and duration.
Short and daily works best. Heroskills plans 10 minutes a day, with stickhandling drills on most days.
